Leh, the capital town of Ladakh is slowly coming out of hibernation from the cold winter season and very slowly things are changing yet again. Trees are turning green and white peaks are getting melt and Indus is slowly turning its colours again. Apricot are blooming in the eastern part of Leh along the lower part of Indus. It is looks so beautiful to see the blooming apricot flowers. The gateway to Ladakh is widely open very recently, Zojila pass, the snow capped road between Srinagar and Ladakh is declared open. People of Ladakh are quite happy to see green vegetables, fruits and many fresh eatable after a long gap of road closured dur winter period.

- Srinagar to Leh road opened official in April 2018. Today on 11th April Srinagar to Leh is suspended due to fresh snow at Zojila pass informed by SHO, Drass.
- Srinagar to Leh is briefly closed due to heavy snow at the Zojila pass, between Drass and Sonamarg. weather is becoming more clearly now and it may open to normal traffic very soon.

4th May 2018: Srinagar to Leh via Kargil-Drass (NH1D) National Highway is fully open to public transport and tourists to Ladakh can drive from this highway to Leh. Weather condition is also improving and becoming warmer, flowers are blooming and great Magration day is approching for the birds lovers.
9th May 2018: Leh is still cold, peaks are covered with fresh snow since few days, Khardongla pass 18,380 fts closed for 2 days and reopen for traffic and Changla pass, way to Pangong lake remain open; though it is quite cold and snow. Domestic tourists are enjoying the fresh snow at peaks and peaceful environment at Leh (J&K State). Manali-Leh highway still not open.
6th June 2018: Leh, the capital of Ladakh is blooming with domestic tourists, Thousand of Indian tourists are here in Leh and good accommodation are get shortage and even good transportation are also less.

June 2018: Ladakh is full of domestic tourists at this time and weather is just perfect, road from Manali to Leh and Kashmir to Leh are open and you may come over here for birding in himalayas, spotting and sighting of Pallas's cat and Snow Leopard in the winter from November onward; February to March will be the best timing for spotting Snow Leopard in Ladakh.
It is October and it is off season, Harsh winter of Ladakh is approaching very fast and leaves are turning in to yellow & falling down. Winter gonna will be very cold this time.
