Day 01 :  Leh- Zinchen – Thangthik/Rumbak . O/N in camp.(5-6 hrs walk)

You have enter  in to Hemis National Park, where we may be fortunate enough to get a glimpse of wild lives as diverse as the snow leopard, lynx, Ladakhi Urial (a mountain goat ), arghali (great Tibetan sheep), blue sheep, red fox, Tibetan wolf, dhole (wild dog), marmot and mountain hare. After paying the entrance fee, we will climb gradually through a beautiful gorge that will unveil the imposing Stok Range from time to time. Before reaching Rumbak, Overnight at above the Rumbak village.

Day 02  :  Thangthik – Stok La 4900m – Mankarmo. O/N in camp.(5-6 hrs walk)

The trail up to the base of Stok la (4900 m) starts fairly gradual but becomes steeper as we approach the pass. Views of the Indus valley and remarkable colorful rock formations of Stok la will diminish the hardship of climb. We descend along the mountainside up and down until we reach to a campside , from where we  divert to Stok Kangri expedition and trek to Mankarmo. Overnight camp here.

Day 03  :   Mankarmo –  Gangpoche

where there are unusual rock formations that point skywards in orange, purple and green colors. Mankarmo (4250 m) is the summer pasture of Stok villagers and from here you will trek to From the base camp it’s a gradual descend till the valley below the Matho La (4870m)and then you’ll follow a small challenging trail to the top, travelers are often Greeted by the high wild cry of the Snow cock, a giant partridge common in these parts But difficult to see. Spectacular view  of Matho Kangri (5740 m) and other peaks are available from the pass. Gangpoche is the summer grazing place for the shepherds from Matho Village 04 Hrs downstream from the Glaciers. Overnight camp here.

Day 04 :   Gangpoche to Shang Phu  via Matho La 4850 m. (6-7Hrs)

After breakfast again trek  via Matho la and  Matho West - 6010 metres: Close to Leh this peak is better known as Matho Kangri, Matho being the village below it. You will not climbing this peak but will have view of this. This area is remote and not many company organise trek or know about this route. There are wolf, fox and sheep can be seen in this routes. Overnight camp at  , Shang Phu.

Day 05 :  Shang Phu to Shang Sumdo , via Shang la 4900 m. 

This area is beautiful  and trekkers are rarely pass through and you will have a wonderful time and will be easily cross the Shang la 4900,   At Shang Sumdo is a tiny village, where you will meet with the trekkers from Markha valley and our Jeep will waiting for you to  wel come and take you back to Leh.  Visiting to Hemis monastery and Thiksey on the way back.
